Ashmore Green WI is a member of the Berkshire Federation of Women’s Institutes and was formed over 50 years ago.
Today the Ashmore Green WI meets once a month on the third Tuesday at 7.30pm. The meetings are held in the Committee Room at the Acland Hall, Cold Ash.
The monthly WI meeting is an opportunity to get together and hear from a range of interesting speakers as well as meet up with friends. There are a number of regular events that are a firm favourite in the year and these include the Summer Party and Christmas Celebration (Party!)
For the last 3 years the Ashmore Green WI has also hosted an Autumn Craft Fair, providing the opportunity to bring together talented crafts people from within the WI and the local area. The WI also raises funds for their annual charity at these events, for example, the Newbury Street Pastors and the Newbury Soup Kitchen.
